Introducing the $1 Sale

Come sift through ReGroups Rejects
Introducing+the+%241+Sale

Looking for a cheap and sustainable way to spice up your wardrobe? ReGroup’s $1 Sale is the perfect place to begin. Held at 955 SE Wilson from 6pm-7pm Fridays and 11am-12pm Sundays, the sale offers an affordable and fun way to broaden your style.

The $1 Sale is a combination of ReGroups donated clothes, shoes, and bags that either aren’t up to par for being purchased at the storefront or that aren’t sold after a while. These items are then sent to ReGroups second location and are dumped into giant cardboard boxes for the community to sift through.

The sale attracts a wide variety of people, whether they’re looking for a good deal or in sophomore Skye Knox’s case, something fun to do with friends. Knox has been going to the $1 Sale for over two years and almost always leaves with a few new pieces to take home.

“There’s something for everyone” says Knox. “And Going to the dollar sale is a good way to participate in the trends but also not create a bunch of clothing waste”

The $1 Sale has given the community an eco-friendly way to purchase new clothes, and ReGroup employee Hailey Liederman finds it hard to shop any other way.

“Working at regroup has made me realize how many clothes there are in the world and how easy it is to reuse them. It’s hard to buy new clothes when there are already so many” says Liederman.

About the Contributor
Kepler Orton
Kepler Orton, Staff Writer

In her free time, Kepler enjoys wandering the halls of bookstores and trying (and failing) to teach herself how to play the guitar. If you can’t find her, simply follow the trail of yarn scraps and the scent of chlorine as she spends all her time at the pool playing water polo, and most of her time at home crafting. She is an avid tote bag hoarder, todo list maker, and music lover. Kepler can also be found in Summit's orchestra playing (mostly) all the right notes on her violin. She’s a sophomore, and as it’s her first year on the Pinnacle, she is excited to expand her skills as a writer.
