Former US President Donald Trump Has Been Indicted by Manhattan Grand Jury

Former US President Donald Trump is facing criminal charges for falsifying business records linked to paying hush money to porn star, Stormy Daniels. Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan District Attorney, notified Trump’s lawyers of his indictment on March 30. The District Attorney has brought in numerous witnesses before the grand jury, as well as offering Trump an opportunity to testify—in which he declined.

Trump has turned himself in to the authorities, but has pleaded guilty to 36 charges. All of the charges being brought up against him have totaled to 136 years in jail, but if found guilty, his sentence will be much smaller.

Trump has become the first former president to be facing criminal charges in US history.
