School Cancelled after Storms

The first blizzard of the year
School+Cancelled+after+Storms

Due to poor road conditions, Bend-La Pine schools have been canceled several days this January. Multiple blizzard warnings have been in effect for the east slopes of the Cascade Mountain range.

Combinations of snow and freezing rain made transportation dangerous, thus leading to school and activity cancellations. The heaviest snowfall was at elevations 3,000 feet and above, however, elevations of 1,500-2,000 feet also received significant snowstorms.

La Pine and Sunriver also experienced blizzard conditions, including large amounts of snow or blowing snow, and winds in excess of 35 mph, along with poor visibility. Bend and Redmond were not in the blizzard warning area, however, they were under a wind advisory and received heavy snowfall and icy conditions.

Travel was difficult to impossible, due to widespread blowing snow that reduced visibility to less than a quarter mile. Drivers were advised to avoid travel through mountain passes during this time unless absolutely necessary.

If you think William looks like an Asian, you’re probably wrong. Cuz he’s an actual Asian!(not “looks like”) He’s here to learn the culture and the language, so sometimes he acts stupid and strange. When he has free time, there is a great chance to find him in the library (that’s his favorite place). Btw, feed him with steak?
