From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 9 and 10, the Central Oregon Maker Faire will be at Deschutes Brewery! Local STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and CTE (Career Technical Education) programs and creators will be running hands-on exhibits like Slidebox Guitars, as well as demonstrations from Summit’s robotics team, Chaos Theory. The Maker Faire originated in 2006 in San Francisco to highlight local creators and inventors of all backgrounds, and now it has spread all over the country.
