On Oct. 31, at 7 pm, the werewolves howled—not to the Hallow’s moon, but to the little movie theater nestled in a Downtown alley. Tin Pan Theater will feature a special screening of one of many classic Silents Synced cinema, an event perfect for Bend subculture as it pairs the captioned film with Radiohead’s “Kid A” and “Amnesiac.”
Located around the corner from the original Thump Coffee, Tin Pan hosts a slew of indoor and even outdoor events. Most recently, the cinema held an annual Halloween Fest for classic horror re-releases and spooky low-budget films.
In collaboration with Deschutes Public Library, Nosferatu with Radiohead played the previous Thursday, Oct. 24, at 7 pm. Tin Pan provides a venue for local community and independent artists to come together and appreciate a good movie.
Now owned by BendFilm, the Tin Pan Theater is a perfect cozy nook to take a date, rent for a party or treat yourself to hearty cinema and preserve Bend’s rich history.
