“Blonde On Blonde” never backs down from the masterful songwriting the world had come to expect out of 1960’s Bob Dylan while taking a massive—and sometimes rather wacky (see “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35, the album’s opener)—leap musically. Is “Blonde On Blonde” garbage or genius? After a second or third listen, you’ll likely decide the latter.
