This year’s prom theme was Secret Garden Party which served as inspiration for dozens of stunning looks at the dance. Dresses ranged from svelte and sparkly to flouncy and flowery, and suits were spruced up with any number of creative adornments, from spunky dress shirts to waistcoats. Here are some of our favorite looks: 

Question: What made you want to create your own dress?

Answer: “I’ve always wanted to. It was pretty difficult to work with the black tulle, so that was the hardest part… I started it a couple weeks ago, but I really crammed it in at the end.” – Laurel O’Brien

Question: As international students, how does prom live up to your expectations?

Answer: “It has been really cool because this is not something we will experience in Spain. So it’s cool to have something with your high school where you know everyone.”  -Raquel Gonzalez Mesa

Answer: “You know everyone and just like the vibe. Yeah, it is cool…to find a date and meet with your friends and everything.” – Pilar Antunez

Question: What made you want to go for more of a vintage style?

Answer: “I really love old movies and old fashion. [My dress] definitely reminded me of the movie Pretty in Pink. I just like that feminine, really pretty style.” – Stella Heinlien
