   On Saturday, September 24, Summit Cross Country ran in a statewide race in Portland, Oregon. The men won the D1 Championship with Noah Laughlin-Hall leading it and finishing with a time of 16:01.9. Also, Jensen (Kirk) Lord raced for the first time in awhile after recovering from a dislocated shoulder, running 4th on varsity with a time of 16:51.0. Lord was really able to pull the team together and secure the 1st place win. The women continue their undefeated record, winning the Danner Championship. Seniors Ella Thorsett, Barrett Justema and Claire McDonald finished top 25 with the times of 17:48.3, 18:08.9 and 18:36.3. This was McDonald’s first year running cross country and she is already running top 3 in the state, leading the girls team. The next race will be the Oxford Classic at Drake Park on Saturday October 1.
