Looking Back and Looking Forward
As we head into Summer, take a look at Summit student’s favorite memories and exciting, upcoming events.

Summer is only days away. Freshman will be sophomores, sophomores will be juniors, juniors will be seniors, and seniors will, well, they’ll be gone. So many crazy and exciting events have taken place in everyone’s lives in the past year. Whether it’s the controversial sophomore meeting or boys soccer and golf winning the state title, there’s lots to look back on and more importantly, lots to look forward to. Let’s take a look at some students and their favorite memories from the past year and what they are looking forward to in the next one.
Lexie Mead (Sophomore)-
Looking forward to: being tan
Favorite memory from last year: Going wake surfing at her lake house
Mila Chenoweth (Sophomore)-
Looking forward to: Swimming in the river
Favorite memory from last year: Traveling to Mexico
Samantha Grindeland (Sophomore)-
Looking forward to: Spending time with friends
Favorite memory from last year: Skiing in Sun Valley
Lily Cloninger (Junior)-
Looking forward to: Taking less classes, senior year, cheer and especially spending the summer with all the seniors graduating
Favorite memory from last year: Attending and cheering at football games for the first time in a while
Elle Buresh (Sophomore)-
Looking forward to: Being able to spend time during the summer with the friends I have now and being able to watch them grow and working

Samuel Taylor (Junior)-
Looking forward to: Taking game design next year since that’s his dream job and doing an internship
Favorite memory from last year: Hosting a super smash brothers tournament which he won

Looking forward to: Going to California
Favorite memory from last year: Doing track 1500 and 3k in track

Looking forward to: Being a senior because it’s going to be a fun year

There are various things to look forward to in the next school year, for example, masks won’t be required at football games and homecoming will be back to normal. However, we won’t get ahead of ourselves; Summer is just beginning.
