Ah, sophomore year. Not yet an upperclassmen, not still a freshman. A year of almost, but not quite. As sophomores, you are torn between the far-away threat of junior year and the stress that accompanies it as well as the threads of freshman fear still clinging on. You’re here, you’ve got through your first year, but you’re not quite settled in.
“Overall, my sophomore year was a lot,” said Summit junior Luke Shirtcliff. “A lot of development went in that year into figuring out not only my educational self, but also just figuring out my personality and everything. It was an overall amazing experience.”
This is your time to grow. Everything Summit offers is at your fingertips, if you choose to seize it. This is usually the first year students can challenge themselves with AP classes and start stepping up in sports and activities.
“It’s only as hard as you make it,” said Summit junior Rachel Lynch. “[It was the year I] found my footing… I felt like sophomore year was such a great year, especially because there’s not that much academic pressure sophomore year. It’s a really great year to find out more about yourself.”
This is the time. You know what you’re doing, but still have enough time left to join new activities and invest three years into them. And of course, you have getting your driver’s license to look forward to.d
