Spirit Week
Oct. 14 marked the start of Summit’s homecoming spirit week. Students and staff alike wore pajamas to school on Monday, and Tuesday’s theme was “tropical.” On Wednesday, everyone is encouraged to use something creative (“anything but a backpack”) to bring their notebooks to school. Past favorites include laundry hampers and kitchen appliances. Thursday is “groutfit day,” meaning a fully gray sweatshirt/sweatpants outfit, and Friday’s theme matches the homecoming football game: neon out!
Homecoming Assembly: Friday, Oct. 18
StuCo will be hosting this year’s second all-school assembly on Friday before the football game. The 30 minute block between 3rd and 4th period will be used for cheers, announcements and, of course, games!
Homecoming Game: Friday, Oct. 18 at Summit
The Summit High varsity football team will play Redmond this Friday at 7. The game is also the team’s senior night, so be sure to wear neon in support!
Homecoming Dance: Saturday, Oct. 19 at Summit
For the first time since 2021, Summit is having a semi-formal homecoming dance, meaning that short dresses and button-down shirts are recommended. The entrance opens at 8:00 P.M., and the dance will end by 10:00. Tickets for “A Night in Rio” cost $20 online (to be purchased on Touchbase) or $30 at the door.
