The Summit Theater found great success at the regional thespian competition. Six students of both novice and experienced levels received finalist awards, coming in the top 20% of entries in their respective categories. The following students qualified for the state competition, coming in the top 10% of entries in their categories: Scarlett Livingston (Solo Musical Experienced), Natalie Tripp (Solo Musical Experienced), Azure Neubauer and Natalie Tripp (Duet Musical). They will go on to compete with the best in the state in April, with a chance to go on to the international competition in June
In addition to these high honors, Summit Theater’s “Alice by Heart” was one of three performances selected to perform (out of the 14 total submitted) on the mainstage at state. Mainstage performances bring their whole production to perform for the state festival delegation, which is a top honor. “Alice by Heart” was picked among a highly competitive field.
