Summit’s Women’s water polo team defeated Mountain View by a score of 15-7 in a league game at Juniper swim and fitness on Thursday Sep 28. The game fell on the team’s senior night making it the last official home game for Abby Laughlin, Daniella Dispenza, and Pinnacle opinions editor Iben Orton. “It was a great win especially after we had a close game against Bend High ” said Laughlin, the team’s goalkeeper. The great run in league play comes during a season where the Storm started the season with just 7 players the minimum to play in games resulting in a successful recruiting campaign resulting in X new players. As with any team in the midst of a stellar regular season the goal as always is playoff success. “The end goal is at least second or third in state,” said Laughlin. The Storm continue their hunt for success away against South Eugene on Tuesday Oct 17.
