Unstoppable: Rose Koehler
Summit senior Rose Koehler is a four time girls varsity basketball player. Koehler is leading the girls varsity basketball team to success. She has been Summit’s leading scorer so far this season and is not slowing down. On Jan. 9, in their second league game of the season Summit matched up against Redmond. In this hard fought game, Koehler was unstoppable, posting a personal scoring record and was just 6 points shy of the single game scoring record for girls at Summit. Koehler finished the game with 32 points, 6 assists, 5 steals, and 4 rebounds.
During the game Koehler was extremely focussed on winning the game and was surprised to learn about how many points she had.
“I just didn’t realize I had that many points, I felt relaxed in the game and my shots were rolling in,” said Koehler.
Koehler’s hard work as a highschool athlete is paying off as she is excited to announce her commitment to Colorado College where she is furthering her academic and athletic careers.
