Early morning on October 28, 2022, Democratic, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s home in San Francisco, California, was broken into and her husband Paul Pelosi was severely beaten with a hammer. The congresswoman arrived later Friday after being in Washington during the invasion. Pelosi’s head and arms were struck with the weapon, the intruder standing above his bed and shouting: “Where is Nancy?” The 82-year-old man received serious injuries but after surgery, is expected to fully recover. Security footage and previous threats have recently attracted conspiracy theories about the intention of the attack. David DePape, the current suspect, is being charged with assault and attempted kidnap toward Nancy Pelosi.
