Her last time walking onto the field with a glove in hand and doing one last cheer before her time playing for Summit comes to an end. All the memories, all the laughs and all the screaming will forever be a part of the legacy Lola Jarrette is leaving behind. This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Jarrette.
Leaving her senior season with a lot of memories and even more talent, Senior Lola Jarrette moved to Bend in time for her junior season, making Summit varsity and finished her senior season on a high note. Lola won First Team All Conference for infield this year.
“I almost hit a home run in our senior game which was exciting because friends and family were there watching,” Jarrette said.
Even though the school season is over, Jarette continues her hard work and her passion for softball playing travel ball, which she has participated in for 8 years. Her dedication to softball has shined throughout her season with winning more games than past seasons and making more memories with her team.
“The amount of wins this season was more than previous years, we won 7 games this year and not to mention the long bus rides which was also very fun,” Jarrette said.
Summit softball was blessed with pure talent this year, however Jarrette has impacted those she has played with and set the team up for great success in years to come.
“We just have so much fun playing together, we’ll be in the dugout crying, laughing and when we get on the field it’s so fun to watch her play. She is so good and always so fun to watch her,” Reese Carana said, a sophomore on Summit’s varsitysoftball team.
Her batting average is .464 (the average amount of hits per game) and her primary position is shortstop which she excels in. Not only is she outstanding on the field but also off the field- she manages to pull off a 3.8 GPA in school. Overall Jarrette is an individual who is gonna excel in life and continuously tryna grow in every opportunity she is given. She is attending Lewis and Clark College to continue her softball career.
